Contemporary Cinderella

The Fairytale Cinderella is still a principal part of many childhoods despite the fact that it is at least 2,000 years old. This Fairytale correlates to contemporary times because the theme of envy is prevalent. Cinderella’s step sisters were very envious of her for many reasons and they made Cinderella’s life difficult. This is a contemporary issue in two ways, the first way is because people in the present are envious of people that have things that they can’t attain. The second way this relates to contemporary issues is in the Fairytale Snow White the queen is fueled by envy towards Snow White because Snow White is more beautiful than her.
