The story of Little Red Riding Hood is one that is known by a large majority of earth’s population, regardless of language and culture. It is a story that transcends the bounds of time. This is because it is one that can be altered to fit the time period in which it is being told. While this story may have informed children during the late 17th century to be wary on a journey through the woods alone, a modern version of this story may warn children not to even go into the woods at all. Little Red Riding hood has also become a common story to include inside of modern day fiction works. These range from full on novels, to tv show episodes. For example the TV show Once Upon a Time utilizes the characters in a few episodes.
